Erythritol
This sweetener is 60-70% the sweetness of sugar and is manufactured from natural products : dextrose derived from non GMO corn.
It has many applications in food including,: chocolate, ice cream, beverages, tablets, baked goods and general confectionary.
A key benefit is the FSANZ energy factor of 1 kJ/g in terms of a low calorie sweetener. It has good synergy with Stevia to enhance the flavour profile in food and beverage applications.
